Update

Well, I guess it's been awhile since I last posted...
We've had a busy couple of weeks!

Last week I got a job. My friend Aimee has been drafting from home for an architecture firm and she received a call from another architect asking her if she wanted to work for him also. Well, her job and kids are keeping her plenty busy so she graciously passed the opportunity on to me. I gladly accepted! I told the architect I could only commit to about 10 hours a week since I can only work during nap times and when Dan is home. It's a great opportunity to keep my foot in the architecture world and also a great opportunity to save up some cash for that bigger car that we are hoping to purchase soon! = )
We went to Lewiston and spent a few days with the family and played at my parents/grandparents ranch. Ellie LOVES it there!!

While we were in Lewiston we found out that a friend of ours in Texas who had been battling cancer had passed away. We decided that we wanted to find a way for one of us to go to the memorial service and show our love to the family. (wife, daughter-14, and son-19) Since I'm a little tied down taking care of two little ones, Dan was the one who was able to go. We were able to find a good last minute flight with our airline miles.

We look forward to picking Dan up from the airport tonight! Ellie is planning on wearing her P.J.'s and slippers and can't wait to get the surprise Daddy picked up for her in Texas!

Are you Kidding Me!?!?!?

Here's the view from our bedroom window this morning. Haven't we had enough snow already??

Well, at least it was just a little dusting that will be gone by the afternoon...and the forecast calls for 70 degree temps this weekend and next week...so I guess we will survive.

Mommy's week

Well, we did miss Ellie very much BUT we also enjoyed ourselves while she was gone. = ) It was nice to have a clean house all week without constantly picking up toys. It was nice to be able to eat whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. It was nice to get a few projects done that were hard to do with a 3-year old around. It was nice to go out to lunch and dinner without a toddler....etc...

I told Dan it felt like I was on vacation except I was actually looking forward to going back to work. Even though Ellie probably could have handled being gone for two weeks one week without her was long enough for us.

I finally painted E's ceiling...

...updated my photography site...

(if you find a picture of yourself that you would rather I not have on my site, please let me know and I will gladly remove it!)

and spent lots of face time with sweet Colton.

Ellie's week

Well, we have a pretty independent daughter! She had such a fun week with the grandparents that they had to hype up going home on Friday so she would willingly come back to Boise with them. She probably would have stayed two weeks if we had let her!

Here are a few pictures of her adventures...

This is my favorite picture of her week with the grandparents. She went for a walk on the railroad tracks by my grandparents house...just like I used to do with my grandparents.

Looking at the horses with Bucko.Special meals at Great-Grandma Weezie and Great-Grandpa Dan's house.

Throwing rocks in the creek. Hanging out with Bucko on the cartoon watching bed. Play-date at Burger King with Priya.

Thanks Grandma Kristy and Bucko for taking such good care of Ellie!!
