I just finished watching this weeks episode of "Lost". (thank you www.abc.go.com) I really enjoyed the episode last week with the whole baby Aaron shocker...but this week was just too much. Not so sure that I like the new time travel twist. : P
I could handle the whole idea of them being in pergutory...but time travel...that's just too far fetched for my taste. : )

Relaxing Weekend
It was a good weekend with not too much on the schedule. On Saturday I had fun hosting a baby shower for my friend Charli who's baby is due in just a few more weeks. Sunday we completely relaxed and enjoyed the day. Ellie and I sported pigtails, did a little coloring, and she even got to go out and ride her new bicycle that she got for Christmas. It was a beautiful day...about 55 degrees and sunny. We are ready for more of these warm spring days!!! Colton was as cute and sweet as usual. He is such a precious little boy and loves to "talk". He is just starting to giggle but does it much more often for dad than for me. : (

Weekend in McCall
This past weekend we headed up to McCall to spend the weekend with my dad's family. It's been a family tradition, for about the past 15 years, to spend President's weekend skiing in McCall. The past couple years Dan and I have taken a break from skiing and have enjoyed hanging out in the condos with the aunts and kids, chatting and playing games. This year we decided to try out the "tubin' hill". Ellie, Dan and aunt Lori had a blast tubin' down the hill and Colton, Grandma Kristy and I had fun watching them come flying down the hill screaming and giggling. Maybe next year Colton and I will get to join in the fun!
Here's a link to the tubin' video:

We didn't take very many pictures this weekend but here's one of Colton. There wasn't alot of safe floor space in the condo with 25 people wandering around but we found a safe warm corner for him to rest in. = )

Senior Night @ MVHS
One of the highlights about living in Boise is being close to my Uncle Nate, Aunt Linda and Cousin Lanae. (and cousin Nic when he is home visiting from college) They live about two minutes away and we love it!
It has been especially fun getting to watch Lanae enjoy her senior year of high school. Last night at the boy's basketball game they honored their senior players and cheerleaders so we took our little family to the game and celebrated with Lanae.
Ellie had a blast watching the cheerleaders, clapping for the wrong team, and running around the bleachers with Uncle Nate and Aunt Linda. I think there was rumor of her playing on the elevator too...and continually pushing the alarm button!
Colton seemed to have a good time...except for when the Ref blew his whistle. That was a little too loud for his little ears.

Free To Good Home (don't tell Dan)
Well, this morning I left the house for a few hours and as I was driving away I remembered that I hadn't put her collar on. I decided not to go back and put it on her since she hadn't escaped for about a week. Of course I knew this was a bad decision.
Sure enough when I got home I saw paw prints in the fresh snow leading from the back yard. She had escaped once again...without a collar. Even though I told Dan the next time she gets out I'm not going to look for her, I knew this time it was my fault that I didn't put her collar on so I went driving around the neighborhood to see if I could find her. I could see the fun she had by following her paw prints all around the neighborhood...in people's yards, driveways, etc. I saw the neighborhood "grumpy old man" and figured if anybody noticed her it would have been him. So I stopped and asked if he had seen a black lab running around. Sure enough, he had. I asked if he had called animal control...suprisingly he hadn't. I went back home to call Dan and tell him the bad news and when I pulled up I saw Sadie peeking over the fence from the back yard. Phew! Not sure if she found a way back over the fence or if a nice neighbor recognized her and put her back in our yard.
Guess we need to start putting her in her kennel whenever we leave the house. Unfortunately she also jumps the fence whenever she hears a visitor arrive. = (
If anybody sees Dan please tell him that his wife shouldn't have to worry about potty training, nursing, crying babies, terrible two's, AND an ESCAPING DOG!!!

Super Bowl Sunday
We've had an unusual amount of snow this season and we woke up to MORE snow this morning. It's very beautiful...and fun for a lazy Sunday....but I'm getting pretty ready for Spring!

This is the view from Colton's room (my favorite view)
Daddy snuck in and threw some snowballs at Ellie while she was taking a bath.

Ellie LOVES baths!!
Colton Daniel - 2 months old
Colton is such a sweet little boy! Even though we have been through these baby stages before it is amazing how quickly you can forget how precious and fun it is to watch your baby learn to smile and talk. It seems like whenever he gets a little bit of our attention he is either smiling or talking and it is so fun to watch. When we are busy doing other things, like taking care of big sister, he is happy laying on the floor looking around or swinging in his swing. He is sleeping really well...now that we realized we need to swaddle him!
He turned two months old this past Tuesday so we had to take him to the doctor for his two month check-up and shots. Here are his statistics:
weight: 13 lbs. 11 oz. (93%)
height: 24 in. (80%)
